What we do

Services we offer

Our services are mainly designing and building spaces for different applications and for different segments. We also offer workshops, which are mostly composed of theoretical sessions accompanied by practical application. These workshops usually target school and university students, fresh graduates, and young professionals, mainly educating them about topics such as but not limited to:

  • Human Centered Design
  • Environmental design
  • Earth construction
  • Passive design techniques
  • Design and build (offered in winter and summer breaks only)

Our Methodology

In any project we work on, we focus on three main pillars:

1.Human Centered Design: This pillar focuses on the role and importance of the users and how the design should satisfy the users’ needs. In order to achieve this, the users are involved in all the process from the very early stage of identifying the issue, prototyping and the implementation.

2.Sustainability: Our main concern, in any project we operate, is to maintain the sustainability aspect. We strive to do that in multiple ways, which include: adopting passive design techniques, using local materials, and/or maintaining the sustainability of the place in terms of operation and maintenance. Additionally, we hire local laborers and train them on building using rammed earth and several other skills, which later on serves as an additional source of income for them.

3.Education: We believe in knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer. In all our projects, we recruit university students and graduates who join our team as volunteers during the time span of the project. Throughout this period, they attend sessions and interactive workshops in different fields, conduct site visits, and attend community meetings. They are also offered a hands-on experience, where they get to implement the knowledge they acquired on an actual project. Volunteers work closely with the local community to identify the problems and come up with the best solutions. In parallel, the local residents are taught new techniques of construction during the implementation of the project, and they get to share their own expertise in the local techniques that they are aware of, so it is a mutual sharing experience for our team and for the local community as well.
